Led number plate light only for W463
12V only
The licence plate lighting on a W463 often causes problems
because of exposure to a lot of water and other impurities. Also, the housing likes to burn
because it is much too small and the heat from the bulb melts the plastic.
Replacing the bulb with an LED does not solve the problem either, as it continues to give poor contact on the connection terminals in
the bulb holder itself, which are often already heavily oxidised, and the little heat given off by an ordinary LED replacement bulb does return
damage to the housing.
We have the ultimate solution!
A plug-and-play complete LED lamp, in which 3 small LEDs are built in, and where nothing more of the current transparent
lamp holder is needed. So this one can go in the bin.
Moreover, everything is encased in transparent resin, so water doesn't stand a chance!
The perfect solution!
Finally rid of this annoying problem.
On G Classes from 1996 onwards, you CAN (not always) get a "defective bulb" error message on the dashboard. This is due to canbus detection. If you have an ordinary bulb on your indicator on the mudguard, you normally don't get this problem, so the big indicator should not have an LED in it. If the problem still persists, you can either put a small canus deleter in between, or put a resistor in parallel over it, or add a light bulb inside the wing. Enquire about this at a garage, not us.... (Sorry)
Of course, this is sold as a set, SO 2 PURCHASED will be yours for this super price!
